SUV buyers in India are in for a treat as the list of upcoming Jeep SUVs in India 2022 include the Grand Cherokee, Meridian and new Compass Trailhawk
Jeep that is available in the Indian market is all-set to launch three-new SUVs in India by 2022. This article will talk about the three upcoming SUVs that are expected to be launched this year. Jeep currently has two existing models and the company is planning to expand its range.
Jeep Compass Trailhawk
Jeep in 2021 launched a facelifted Compass and the company has updated the SUV from exterior and interior as well. With this, the company is now planning to launch a hardcore off-roader variant of Compass, Trailhawk. This version was discontinued before the launch of the facelift edition however the company is planning to again launch this variant in the market as a flagship variant for Compass.
The upcoming Compass Trailhawk is expected to look similar to the pre-facelift version of Compass but this variant will definitely offer better ground clearance with redesigned front and rear bumpers. The grille, roof, pillars, rearview mirrors, and bumpers will have blacked out highlights. It will also come with bigger tyres, 18-inch alloy wheels, better four wheel drive system along with the introduction of drive modes.
Compass Trailhawk will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that will be capable of producing 170PS of maximum power and will come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. This model will be available in a single variant and will offer features from the existing top-spec Compass. It is expected to be launched by February 2022 and according to the company, Trailhawk will be a limited edition model.

Compass and Meridian will be powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine; however, the power and torque figures will be updated accordingly. Jeep Grand Cherokee
Jeep, when it made its entry to India had Cherokee and Wrangler as its flagship models. However, Jeep is all set to introduce the updated SUV in India anytime before the festive season commences.
Earlier, the SUV was made available to the customers through CBU route however, the company just announced that it will now manufacture this one in India itself just like Wrangler. The Grand Cherokee in the global markets is currently offered in five and seven seater capacity but it is expected that only five-seater will be launched in India.
The SUV has a futuristic design language with a much updated interior. The most eye-catchy thing inside the cabin is the three different screens seen. One is for the infotainment system, another one is the digital instrument cluster and one additional screen is also there for the co-passenger.
