Maruti Suzuki is soon going to introduce a new MPV in India. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be based on the Toyota Innova Hycross. It is scheduled to launch on 5 July. Maruti Suzuki Invicto Interior Design Details
As seen in the spy photos, the interiors of Invicto will be more or less similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross. However, the Toyota badge on the steering wheel has been replaced by the Suzuki badge. Meanwhile, the rest of the design and features look familiar to the Hycross. But, the Invicto features a different interior theme with all-black interiors. Maruti has opted for copper inserts & brown highlights on the inside. These details look different from the Hycross though & making it look premium as well. In terms of features, it gets a 7-inch digital instrument console & a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, & the waterfall design for the centre console.
The exterior design of the Invicto has also been spied on undisguised. The upcoming MPV looks similar to the Hycross. But, it gets a different two-slat front grille, a new front bumper, new LED taillights, & a different design for LED DRLs. The alloy wheels are 18-inch in size but the design is similar. Under the bonnet, it'll be powered by only one powertrain option. It will be a 2.0-lt, NA petrol, strong-hybrid engine. This engine makes a peak power of 183 bhp & 260 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to an e-CVT transmission.
Verdict
The new Invicto MPV will debut soon in India. While it is similar to the Hycross itself, we expect that Maruti will tune its suspension and handling of it. The pricing of Invicto will be higher than Hycross. It is due to the royalty that Maruti needs to pay Toyota for manufacturing Invicto. Hence, we anticipate that it'll be priced at least Rs 50,000 higher than the Hycross.
