Tata Curvv SUV: What Do We Know So Far?
As seen in the spy pics, the Curvv SUV will be a unique product in the portfolio of Tata. It was showcased earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Now, the road test phase has begun for it. The latest spotting from Pune shows a mid-variant being tested. In a short spy video, the Curvv is also seen alongside the popular Nexon; on which it is based as well.
The design of Curvv is already revealed and it uses a lot of inspiration from the Nexon and the new Harrier as well. It'll have a similar set of LED headlights and DRLs as the Nexon, while the front grille and bumper will take inspiration from the Harrier. The most unique touch in its design is the sloping coupe-like roof. The rear design is a point of attraction as it is something that we've never seen on a Tata car. A sharp wrap-around LED taillight setup along with a raised rear design will enhance its road presence.
The spotted car also has blind-spot monitoring on its ORVMs. However, there is no 360-degree camera on it. Therefore, some basic assist safety features will expectedly come across all of its variants; as we assume.

Tata Curvv Engine, Price, Launch Date Details
Now this fact is not hidden that it'll be based on the Nexon's platform. However, it'll exceed the 4 mts mark in length. In fact, the spy shots also show that the Curvv is bigger than the previous-gen Nexon (as seen). But, powering it will be the same engine options as the Nexon. We believe it'll get a 1.2-lt turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-lt turbo-diesel engine options. Tata will offer these with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT gearbox option. Also, a wet-clutch 7-speed DCA automatic gearbox might also be offered on select variants.
As it'll be positioned above Nexon, its expected pricing will be somewhere around Rs 15 - 20 lakh. It'll rival the upcoming Citroen Basalt crossover while some popular SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara as well. Its expected launch timeline is around 15 August in India.
