Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer Vinfast is all set to officially enter the Indian market at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. Following the February announcement and groundbreaking of its new manufacturing facility near Chennai, Vinfast will showcase its vehicle lineup, ranging from the VF e34 to the flagship VF 7 SUV. The company is also anticipated to unveil its showroom and sales strategies, with operations targeted to commence in the latter half of 2025. Vinfast e34, VF 7 To Debut At Bharat Mobility Show
Joining BYD, Vinfast will be the second all-electric automaker to establish operations in India and will make the EV market a lot more competitive. However, the BYD is positioned at a premium price point, Vinfast e34 will be priced in line with the likes of Tata Curvv EV, the upcoming Maruti e Vitara, and Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE 6, and others in a mass premium segment. While it will also be introducing the VF7, it is going to be their flagship premium product for India.
The Vinfast e34, previously spied in testing in India, features smooth, flowing lines consistent with its international counterpart, giving it a strong on-road presence. The front end is characterized by LED daytime running lights, sleek LED headlamps, a closed grille, fog lamps, and a distinctive bumper. The side profile showcases spoke alloy wheels, prominent wheel arches, and substantial body cladding. Earlier spy shots revealed features such as ORVM-mounted turn indicators, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and chrome window sill trim. At the rear, the vehicle sports wraparound LED taillights.
The Vinfast e34 features a minimalist design offered in Granite Black and Sand Beige. Notable features include a vertically oriented 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, multiple USB charging ports, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat. Safety features comprise a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, and Level 2 ADAS with functionalities like rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring. It is anticipated that the Indian market variant will offer a similar suite of features.

Battery And Range Details
The Vinfast VF e34, slated for the Indian market, will feature the same powertrain as its international counterpart. This includes a 41.9 kWh LFP battery pack paired with a single electric motor that delivers 148 bhp and 242 Nm of torque. The EV offers a claimed range of 318.6 km on a single charge and supports fast charging, enabling a 10% to 70% charge in just 27 minutes.
The VinFast VF e34 is expected to launch sometime in 2025, with the brand establishing its factory. Expected to be priced between Rs 20-25 lakh (ex-showroom), it will rub shoulders with the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and others in its segment.
