VinFast VF e34 Latest Update
Last Updated on 24th June'24: Exterior:With a more rounded appearance, the Vinfast VF e34 has a closed grille with a V-shaped stretched chrome garnish in the middle and split headlamps on the sides. These split headlamps include LED DRL strips above and teardrop-shaped LED headlights below. The side profile of the Vinfast VF e34 has a crossover-like appearance with body cladding for a tougher look, while also having chrome garnish and 17-inch machined alloy wheels for a premium appearance. The Vinfast VF e34 has vertically laid clear-lens LED tail lamps at the back.
Interior and features:Globally, the Vinfast VF e34 has an all-grey cabin theme with gloss black and chrome inserts at places, and the India-spec model might get the same treatment. The flat-bottom steering wheel of the VF e34 has a full-TFT instrument console within a hexagonal housing. The central console here has a waterfall-like theme with the portrait-styled 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with wraparound chrome garnish around the lower part that also houses climate control buttons. The co-passenger side of the dashboard has sleek AC vents above the glove box.
Battery and Motor:The Vinfast VF e34 will be available in the Indian car market with the same front-mounted electric motor and 41.9kWh battery pack as the global-spec version. The motor produces 150 PS of maximum power and 242 Nm of maximum torque. The Vinfast VF e34's 41.3kWh battery pack claims an NEDC-certified range of 319 km. A DC fast charger can charge this battery pack from 10-70 percent in 27 minutes.
Launch Time:Initially, the Vinfast VF e34 will be launched in India through the CBU route, which is expected to happen in the first half of 2025, once the testing phase on the Indian soil concludes.
Rivals:The Vinfast VF e34 will enter a highly competitive segment of midsize electric SUVs, currently helmed by MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV. This segment will soon witness the arrival of newer offerings like Tata Curvv EV, Maruti Suzuki eVX, Hyundai Creta EV, and Honda Elevate EV.
Price:Given that the Vinfast VF e34 will be brought to India through the CBU route initially, expect it to be priced higher than its rivals, possibly in the range of Rs 25-30 lakh. However, once the localisation levels increase with the CKD route, the Vinfast VF e34 might be on sale in the price range of Rs 22-25 lakh in the later stages.
