Vinfast VF e34 Spied Again In Its Clearest Spy Shots Yet
The Indian electric car market is in its early pick-up phase and no one wants to leave this chance to make a place for itself. Staking its claim for the spot is the Vietnamese Vinfast with its first electric mover for the country, the Vinfast VF e34 EV, The same has been spotted on a couple of occasions, but in the latest sightings, it has been spied in its clerest images yet.
The test mule resembles the international version in its appearance. While it is already on sale internationally, it could be brought into the country via the CBU route, before it enters production. It would benefit from the govt respite in taxes where if investing heavily in the manufacturing and infrastructure facility in the country, you do get quite a few relaxations.
Coming to the front styling, it will polarise opinions and will be a subjective affair. The vehicle presents a sloping bonnet and a curvaceous front fascia, complemented by oval-shaped projector headlights. Its profile features sharp lines and stylish 5-spoke alloy wheels. Conventional door handles and a rear right quarter panel charging port are also notable. Moving to the rear, the design exudes a robust SUV-like appeal with striking elements such as connected tail lights, a prominent roof spoiler, and a rugged rear bumper.
Interior And Features
In its international configuration, the interior of the EV showcases a minimalist design available in Granite Black and Sand Beige color schemes. Key features include a vertically stacked 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, multiple USB charging ports, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat, among other conveniences. For safety, it offers a comprehensive suite including a 360-degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, level 2 ADAS with rear cross alert, lane departure warning, and blind spot monitoring. Similar features are expected to be replicated for the Indian market variant.
Vinfast VF e34: Battery And Range
Internationally, the VF e34 is equipped with a 41.9 kWh LFP battery pack and a single electric motor producing 148 bhp of power and 242 Nm of peak torque. The EV boasts a claimed NEDC range of 318.6 km on a single charge. It supports fast charging, capable of charging from 10% to 70% in just 27 minutes. The Indian units will share the same powertrain as it is.
The VinFast VF e34 is slated for launch in 2025, with the brand actively establishing its factory. Expected to be priced between Rs 20-25 lakh (ex-showroom), it will vie against competitors like the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and others in its segment.
