Volkswagen India has launched the 'Exclusive Edition' of its global best-seller, the Tiguan. At Rs. 33.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the premium SUV comes kitted with an array of special design additions over the regular model. What's so special about this new avatar of the Tiguan? Let's find out.

Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition: Details
The highlight of this special edition includes sporty 18-inch Sebring Sterling Silver alloy wheels, load sill protection at the rear, aluminium pedals, dynamic hubcaps and more. Another prominent change on board the special edition is the 'Exclusive' badging inside out. The German carmaker is only offering this special edition in two paint schemes i.e. Pure White and Oryx White.
Step into the interiors and the Tiguan will welcome you with its top-class nifty tech features. Some of the noteworthy features of the German SUV include an 8-inch infotainment system with gesture control, illuminated scuff plates, USB type C ports, Vienna leather seats, a soft-touch dashboard, 30 shades of multicolour ambient lights, flat bottom multi-function steering wheel, a three-zone Climatronic air-conditioning system with touch control and a panoramic sunroof amongst others.
Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition: Powertrain and Safety Features
Under the hood, the Tiguan continues to be powered by the familiar 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine belting out 190 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission with 4MOTION (Four Wheel Drive) technology.
Being a Volkswagen, the Tiguan comes loaded with safety features such as six airbags, an anti-brake locking system (ABS), ESC, anti-slip regulation (ASR), EDL, hill start assist, hill descent control, engine drag torque control, active TPMS, 3 head-rests at the rear, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX, driver alert systems and more.

Verdict: At no extra cost, the Tiguan Exclusive Edition is a great deal, however limiting it to just two colour options is a bit disappointing. However, if you are okay with the colour choices and like the exclusive touches of this new special edition, you can go ahead and book one for yourself.
