The 150cc motorcycle segment is full of highly competent bikes which makes it extremely difficult for the buyers to make a choice. One such bike competing in this segment is the newly launched Yamaha FZ BS6 which recently received a third major update. Looks and Design
The Yamaha FZ BS6 gets a very bold stance and a nice looking design which makes it one of the most attractive bikes in the segment. The headlamps at the front and the masculine mudguards complement the overall look while the side panels neatly blend into the overall design language. The bike gets appealing exterior colour schemes which include - black and blue. In all, the FZ BS6, in its 3.0 avatar, looks appealing and gets a fair attraction when out on the roads.

Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
The Yamaha FZ BS6 is powered by a 149 cc engine that delivers 12.4 Ps and 13.6 Nm of peak torque figures. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and features fuel injection which has improved the overall characteristics of the motor. The refinement levels are commendable and the strong low-end makes the bike a great machine to be used in city traffic. With this being said, the FZ BS6 is one of the best bikes in the segment which offers a great combo of practicality and performance.
Ride, Handling, and Features
While the suspension of the bike is tuned to offer maximum performance, the low-speed ride quality is decent. The stiffer suspension setup results in very stable and compliant handling traits which makes one of the most engaging bikes to ride. The FZ scores high in the agility department and has impressed us with the overall performance. However, it is worth noting the fact that the bike may not be the best choice for those who regularly travel on bad roads.

With this being said, the Yamaha FZ BS6 also gets a number of features such as an optional USB charger, LED headlamps, front disc brakes with single-channel ABS, electric start, and a number of other gizmos such as a digital instrument console and speedometer.
Price
The Yamaha FZ BS6 has been priced from Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in two colour options. The bike competes in the 150-160cc segment and gets a number of rivals such as Pulsar 150, Apache 160 4v, etc.
