Yamaha R3 & MT-03
The Yamaha R3 is the flagship sports motorcycle by the Japanese two-wheeler maker in India. The Yamaha M1 inspires this fully-faired motorcycle and features an aerodynamic design. The R3 is available in two colour options Icon Blue and Yamaha Black. On the features front, the R3 gets a digital LCD instrument console, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and USD front forks. Considering the price point the R3 misses on a lot of features that the rivals like Aprilia RS457 and others offer.
The MT-03 is the brand's flagship naked streetfighter motorcycle in India. It comes with sharp and aggressive styling. Available in two color options the MT-03 offers sharp body lines. It gets a similar set of features as the R3 and misses on a lot of modern features that the rivals offer.
Regarding engine specifications, both R3 and MT-03 are powered by a 321cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine. This engine produces 42 PS of power and 29.5 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Verdict
The Yamaha flagship motorcycles in India have not received a good response due to their high price tag and lack of features. With the price drop of Rs 1.10 lakh on the existing ex-showroom price may attract some customers towards the motorcycles but they still lack many of features which are common in this segement. Even more affordable motorcycles are now offering those features.
