Being a sedan, the City offers 506 litres of boot space, which accommodates all your stuff. This makes it perfect for those seeking boot space without compromising on design.
Under the hood, the City is available with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. There is also a 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid on offer paired to an eCVT transmission. The Honda City is available at a price tag of Rs 11.82 lakh (ex-shworoom) and goes up to Rs 16.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Verna
The Hyundai Verna leads the list with the maximum boot space on offer, 528 litres, which is more than enough to even transport your house. The Verna comes with a blend of premium features, performance and practicality.
There are two engine options on offer; a 1.5-litre NA petrol and 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The power figures remain at 115 PS and 144 Nm for the nat-asp petrol, and 160 PS and 263 Nm of torque for the turbo-petrol. Both the engines get the option of a 6-speed manual. However, the 1.5-litre nat-asp receives a CVT unit for the automatic option, while the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol comes with a 7-speed DCT.
The Hyundai Verna is available at a starting price of Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 17.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Volkswagen Virtus
The Volkswagen Virtus is a well-known car for its sporty design and peppy performance, but along with this, it also offers an impressive boot space of 520 litres. Under the hood, the Virtus comes with two optioons; a 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 113 hp and 178Nm of torque. The 1.0-litre comes with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter, while the 1.5-litre unit also comes with a 7-speed DSG, with the manual added on later. Under the hood, the Slavia offers the same set of engines and gearbox options as the Virtus. However, prices may differ a bit. The Skoda Slavia is available at a starting price of Rs 10.34 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 18.24 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top spec.
