Design
When it comes to design, the Fortuner Legender has been a staple in premium SUV segments for years. It features a bold grille with a muscular stance. Apart from the regular version, the Legender features sharp lines with sleek LED Headlamps. The rear features a stylish LED taillamp setup that wraps around the rear with a sporty bumper design, which adds to the overall appeal. On the other hand, the MG Majestor takes a more modern approach. With an aggressive front profile dominated by a massive grille outshined by sleek LED headlamps. At the rear, Majestor has a connected LED bar setup, and the sculpted bumper with dual exhaust gives it a very sporty vibe.
Features
Inside, the Legender boasts a feature-rich cabin including 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Andriod Auto and AppleCarplay, ventilated seats, an 11JBL speakers system, wireless charging, and a sensor-based tailgate. The legender comes with a dual-tone black upholstery with red stitching. In terms of safety, it is packed with seven airbags, vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD, and Hill assist control.
On the other hand, the MG Majestor will boast a plethora of features like every other MG car available in the Indian market. While the brand has not yet revealed the features of the India spec model, it is likely to feature a 12-inch infotainment system, dual pane panoramic sunroof, 12-way power-adjustable driver seats, auto park, ventilated and heated front seats, ambient lighting, premium sound system and wireless charging.
Powertrain
The Fortuner Legender is powered by a 2.8L diesel engine with two configurations, 4x4 and 4x2, along with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine churns out 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Majestor is still in the pre-launch phase and is expected to offer a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine clubbed along with an 8-speed torque converter gearbox. However, this unit generates 215.5 PS of power and 480-500 Nm of torque.
Pricing
One of the most defining factors when choosing between the two is pricing. The Toyota Fortuner Legender, being a premium offering, comes at a hefty price tag of Rs 44.11 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 48.09 lakh (ex-showroom), depending upon the variant.
