Renault revealed the Kwid facelift earlier this year and the car now is offered as a much better locking and a more VFM product. Having said this, here are a few Renault Kwid pros and cons that you should know if you are considering buying this vehicle.
Pros:
1. Looks and Design
The new Kwid definitely grabs a lot of eyeballs due to its modern, aggressive and a more SUVish design language. The LED DRLs on the top and the headlamps on the bumper along with a grille in the centre gives it an appealing front fascia, making it look one of the best in the segment.
2. Engine-Gearbox Combinations
The buyers of the new Kwid can choose from a number of engine-gearbox combinations which makes it a highly practical vehicle. The car can be had with a small 0.8-L engine as well as with a 1.0-L engine. The former can also be had with an AMt gearbox.

3. Spacious Cabin
The Kwid offers a significantly more spacious cabin when compared to its rivals. The space at the front, as well as the rear, is acceptable for a car of this class and the boot too has a decent storage capacity.
4. Commendable Highway Performance
The Renault Kwid did leave us impressed in terms of the high-speed performance. The engine does not feel strained while travelling at legal highway speeds and the car does feel stable when pushed hard.
5. Feature Rich Cabin
With the launch of the facelift model, the Kwid now comes with a touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument console, and a number of other features which make it a VFM product in the segment.
Cons:
1. Lack Of Storage Spaces Inside The Cabin
Despite having a feature-rich and a spacious cabin, there is an absolute dearth of storage spaces, especially at the rear. Lack of storage spaces takes a toll on the overall everyday practicality of the vehicle.
2. Driving Experience
While the car does feel extremely stable and composed at higher speeds, the steering lacks feel and feedback which will not be appreciated by the hardcore driving enthusiasts.
3. After-Sales Support
Considering the after-sales network of the rivals, the Renault definitely lacks behind in the dealership network. Rivals like the Maruti and Hyundai offer segment-leading after-sales support and Renault will definitely have to work in this department.

4. Built To Cost
While the vehicle does look impressive, the build quality could have been impressive. The plastics inside the cabin are not of the best quality and the spare parts too feel not so solid.
5. Poor Braking Performance
The overall braking capabilities of the vehicle are not at par to the rivals and thus the brand should definitely focus on improving better brakes with the Kwid. In addition to this, the tyres of the vehicle too are very skinny and wider tyres are much needed in the car.
