PROS
1. Sharp Styling
The Suzuki Gixxer 150 is a standout in the segment with its eye-catching design influenced by European styling with a trapezoidal body frame that enhances its nimble and sporty demeanor. The distinctive arrow-shaped fuel tank and bold LED headlamp contribute to its aggressive appearance. On top of this, the Gixxer gets a dual-tip exhaust with a chrome accent, a modern digital instrument cluster, and a sleek split seat design, which all come together in harmony to make up for ergonomic and stylish aesthetics.
2. A Fun To Ride Bike
The Suzuki Gixxer 150 is powered by a 155cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 13.4 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 13.8 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM. It pairs with a five-speed manual transmission, following a 1-down, 4-up gearshift pattern. Known for its strong performance within its class, the addition of a sixth gear could further enhance its highway riding experience. Although it's quick and nimble in street rides, highways are good until the 80-90 kmph mark. Clock the three-digit speeds and the engine starts to take a bit of stress and you will feel the engine trying to push hard. Although going past 3-digit speeds is easy and the bike can go somewhere around the 120 kmph mark.
3. Brake Offers A Good Bite
The Gixxer 150 comes with disc brakes at both the front and rear with a single-channel ABS as standard. The bike performs well and comes to a standstill from a decent enough speed isn't a problem as the brakes offer a good bite and bring it to a halt.
CONS
1. Steep Pricing
The Suzuki Gixxer is a good bike and brings a superior build quality and material, but even after all things considered, the pricing feels a bit steep when compared to its rivals. The standard version of the Gixxer 150 is priced at Rs. 1.35 lakhs ex-showroom, and if you want the Ride Connect, that sets you back by Rs. 1.37 lakhs ex-showroom. On the flip side, its rivals, the TVS Apache RTR 160 and the Bajaj Pulsar N160, both offer a more affordable entry with pricing of Rs. 1.20 lakhs and Rs. 1.23 lakhs ex-showroom respectively.

2. Headlight Performance Could Be Better
The bike comes with an LED headlamp and although it performs well, I expected it to perform a little better. Don't get me wrong, the headlamps are good enough for night rides and get the job done within urban riding. However, if you are more of a highway cruiser, the dark patches could have been better with a little more illumination.
3. Stiff Suspension Hampers Ride Quality
The suspension on the Suzuki Gixxer 150 is on the stiffer side and you will feel the road bumps and potholes on your ride. It could have used a softer tuning to better absorb the vibrations and jerks. While this is not an outright dealbreaker, this is something I feel could have been improved.
Verdict
The Suzuki Gixxer 150 is a premium bikje in its segment and as you sit on it, you will feel the premiumness. However, it cannot be ignored that its asking price is a bit steep and there are options available if you are a little tight on budget, but want a sporty bike that's quick on its feet.
