2020 Maruti Dzire VXI Facelift Specs and Features [Video]

Maruti Suzuki launched the Dzire facelift in March 2020 and it is powered by a 1.2-litre dual jet petrol engine. Here we have a walkaround video of the most selling variant of the Dzire range. 2020 Maruti Dzire VXI is the second base trim of the Dzire and the top variant is the ZXI+ AGS. The Dzire facelift has just started reaching the dealerships and deliveries have also begun.

Starting with the exteriors of the 2020 Maruti Dzire VXI, the front gets halogen lights with indicators and chrome surrounded grille. The VXI variant doesn't come with fog lights but gets chrome garnish on the fog light housing. The turn indicators are placed on the ORVMs but there are no alloy wheels, Dzire VXI gets 165/80 R14 steel wheels with wheel covers. The rear gets LED taillights, chrome boot garnish and four parking sensors on the bumpers.

Moving on the interiors, the Dzire VXI gets all the features you need in your daily runabout. It gets central locking, 2-din Bluetooth enabled media system, manual AC, dual airbags, rear AC vents, rear armrest, electrically adjustable ORVMs, dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ideal start/stop and other basic features. What it lacks over top variants is the push-button start/stop, automatic headlights, automatic AC, 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, cruise control, driver window auto up/down and some small features.

Coming to the powerhouse which is a 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine which now produces 88 PS and 113 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed manual and AMT box. The petrol engine claims a fuel efficiency of 24 Km/l which is the best in its segment and can lure the buyers who misses the old diesel engine.

The prices of the 2020 Maruti Dzire VXI and VXI AMT are 6.79 lakhs and 7.31 lakhs respectively, ex-showroom. The base LXI variant of the Dzire is priced at Rs 5.89 lakhs whereas the top-spec ZXI+ AMT is priced at Rs 8.8 lakhs ex-showroom. The Maruti Dzire competes with cars like Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, Ford Aspire and Tata Tigor.
