The revised front fascia of the 2021 Hyundai Creta facelift is highly reminiscent of the latest Tucson, while its ADAS and BlueLink features put it at par with the recently introduced MG Astor
Days after images of the 2021 Hyundai Creta facelift first leaked onto the webspace, the refreshed compact SUV has finally made its global debut. The refreshed model has made its global debut at GIIAS 2021 and is slated to go on sale in the Indonesian car market.

Design & Styling
Visually, the 2021 Hyundai Creta facelift gets a comprehensively updated front-end that features the South Korean carmaker giant's new Parametric grille. The new styling element stretches across the width of the facade and features integrated LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs). Interestingly, the DRLs merge seamlessly with the grill when they're turned off, thereby leading to a cleaner look. The reworked headlamps are now positioned lower on the front bumper and have a different shape than those on the current India-spec model.
Even the rear-end has received some updates as the taillights now look a tad sleeker than before while the boot-lid has also been replaced with an updated unit. The side profile has been left untouched as the facelift retains the look of the Indian version. The alloy wheels have been carried over along with bits like the Lightning Arc element.

2021 Hyundai Creta Facelift Interior
Unlike the revised front fascia, the cabin doesn't get any dramatic update. However, it now comes kitted out with the 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster that is available on the higher variants of the Alcazar. The dashboard has been left untouched, while the Indonesia-spec model misses out on the widescreen 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and instead, makes do with an 8.0-inch touchscreen unit that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Akin to the local version, the new model comes with a BOSE surround sound system, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, cooled glove compartment, air purifier and ambient lighting.
The biggest update, however, comes in the form of the Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) that brings in an additional set of safety features in the form of the blind-spot monitoring system, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision prevention and adaptive cruise control. Given the availability of these features on the recently launched MG Astor and Mahindra XUV700, the facelift-ed Creta for the Indian market is very likely to get the above.
The new Creta has even received an updated BlueLink system that now offers Stolen Vehicle Tracking, Stolen Vehicle Immobilization and Valet Parking Mode.

Specs
The Indonesia-spec 2021 Hyundai Creta facelift is available only with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs a maximum power of 115hp and a peak torque of 144Nm. The transmission options on offer include a 6-speed manual and a CVT. However, in India, this sub-compact SUV has also been available with a 1.4-litre Turbo Petrol as well as a 1.5-litre Turbo Diesel engine variant. Hence, even the facelift will be sold with the same options.
2021 Hyundai Creta Facelift India Launch Date
We have learnt that the updated Hyundai Creta is nowhere near its local market launch. The pre-facelift version that has been on sale here has been retailing in good numbers and isn't exactly too old in the market. Hence, the launch of the refreshed version won't happen anytime before H2, 2022.
