Tata Motors has finally launched the much-awaited 2021 Tiago NRG and it is priced at Rs 6.57 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. When compared to the regular Tiago XZ+ Dual Tone model, the new version is Rs 13,000 costlier. The AMT is priced at Rs 7.09 lakh. But is the increase in price worth it? Let's find that out!
The 2021 Tata Tiago NRG has been launched in a single variant only. The re-launched NRG gets an updated headlight pattern, new bumper and grille design and colour options. You also get a faux skid plate that brings out a sporty character to the crossover.
Moving to the side profile, you get body cladding that makes the NRG look more rugged than the regular Tiago. In addition, the MY2021 NRG also gets 15-inch hyperstyle wheels, while the rear-end boasts a thick body cladding with NRG badging. Do note that the Tiago NRG does not come with alloy wheels.

2021 Tata Tiago NRG is only available with four colour options - snow white, fire red, cloudy grey and foresta green. The dual-tone stands out as it offers contrast black treatment on the roof, ORVMs and the door handles. The roof rails complete the SUVish style but in the end, it is still a hatchback looking like a crossover. As of now, there's no update if the roof rails are functional or not. The ground clearance of the Tiago NRG is up by 11 mm and now sticks to 181 mm. The regular Tiago comes with 170 mm of ground clearance.
Inside, the charcoal black cabin theme has been carried over. This helps retain the sporty character of the cabin. You do get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include all four power windows, manual HVAC, multi-function steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, follow me home headlight function and more.
Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert reminder, seat-belt reminder and more. Since the NRG is based on the Tiago, it is safe to say that the Global NCAP crash rating of 4 stars would be applicable even here.
