Under the hood, the Innova Hycross will be powered by two engine options - a strong hybrid and a naturally aspirated petrol. As per the reports, the Hycross will be powered by the 2.0L petrol engine that is seen on the latest-gen Corolla and Voxy van. This motor is available in both hybrid as well as non-hybrid setup.
The hybrid engine is expected to churns out as much as 192 bhp of power on tap. The non-hybrid motor belts out a peak power and torque of 168 bhp and 202 Nm, respectively. The hybrid motor will be mated to an eCVT shit while we expect the NA petrol to be available in CVT.

With the launch of Innova Hycross, we expect that the Japanese carmaker will discontinue some variants of the popular Innova Crysta. The Hycross caters to the buyers of a premium segment and the strong hybrid might be useful for those travelling long distances.
