Toyota Urban Cruiser has received a good response from the Indian market. Ever since its launch in the country, the compact SUV grabs a fair amount of sales every month. However, it is time that the C-SUV is due for an update and looks like after the launch of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV, Toyota will bring the all-new Urban Cruiser.
The upcoming Urban Cruiser will be based on the all-new Maruti Brezza. The biggest change will be under the hood and we can expect an all-new design too with the C-SUV. Toyota did the same with the Glanza too by giving the premium hatchback a different appeal from its source donor, Maruti Baleno.
On the outside, do expect tweaked front bumper, fog light housing and even a new LED headlight set-up. Also, like the Glanza, Toyota could bring a carbon-styled faux skid plate for a sportier look in the Urban Cruiser. Moving towards the side profile then expect restyled alloy wheels set up while things at the rear will remain unchanged except for the badging.

Feature-wise, do expect a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric sunroof, head-up display, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, cruise control, LED taillights, steering mounted audio controls and more.
Mechanically, the Urban Cruiser will be powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, DualJet petrol motor. This K15C engine churns out 102 bhp of power with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. It gets mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.

We can expect multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill hold control, speed sensing door lock, a high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors and more. The current Urban Cruiser is priced from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 11.73 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Do expect a certain price hike with the newer model.
