Hyundai is working on the facelift of its Grand i10 hatchback. The latest spy pics from Korea showcase to us the first ever test mule of it. The 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS facelift is expected to bring only cosmetic updates. This mid-life facelift is going to be introduced globally in Q1 of 2023.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Design & Features
Most of the body panels of the upcoming facelift remain unaltered. The spy pics show that the test mule has only its face and boot camouflaged. Meanwhile, the doors and the bonnet along with the fenders remain the same. However, the front looks like it has a wider grille than the current model. Hyundai's latest design language is called Sensuous Sportiness. It is already seen on the newly launched 2022 Hyundai Tucson SUV and the Venue N-Line.
Hence, we expect that similar design bits will follow on the front. Redesigned as well as repositioned LED DRLs are also suspected with the front bumper design change. But is it the headlight that looks half-baked in the photos? We think that Hyundai will redesign it in a subtle manner as it did with the new Venue.
Look at the rear and the car appears to have a different boot curve. Even the taillights look like they have been reworked. We can not deny the possibility of the new Grand i10 getting LED lights all around. Additionally, the rear bumper seems to have lifted upright a bit. However, the boot remains completely covered, hence, we can not be sure about the exact changes. And did we tell you the new alloy wheel design looks cool on it? However, these wheels look like they're 16-inch. Being an international test car, we are sure that the Indian variant will get smaller rims for sure.
Going with the flow of changes, the interiors are also suspected to be revamped up a bit. We expect maybe a few changes here and there. For example, the steering wheel might get a new treatment or the instrument cluster will get a new all-digital design. Also expected are new feature additions like the front ventilated seats, etc.
Engine & Specifications
However, it is going to be only a mid-life facelift. This means no changes to the powertrain options. Hyundai currently offers the Grand i10 NIOS with two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.2-Lt, 4-cylinder, a naturally aspirated unit that makes a peak power of 83 PS. Meanwhile, the second engine is a 1.0-Lt, turbocharged, 3-cylinder unit that makes a healthy 100 PS of power. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed iMT automatic. Its main rivals in India are - Maruti Suzuki Swift & Tata Tiago.
