2023 Yamaha Crosser 150 has been launched in Brazil. The entry-level adventure motorcycle is now more feature-packed and value for money.
A new updated 2023 Yamaha Crosser 150 has made it to the markets globally with new cosmetic and technical upgrades. The entry-level adventure motorcycle was recently launched in Brazil for Rs 2,69,477 (approximately). The Crosser 150 makes a strong case for itself in the Indian market due to its design and technical combination.
2023 Yamaha Crosser 150 Design & Features
The newly launched Crosser is an update to the old model. This update is not very radical in terms of design but the subtle changes do transform the overall looks of the bike. Yamaha has now introduced new colour options along with updated body graphics for the new update.
The design of Crosser 150 is typical adventure motorcycle induced. A high front stance surely looks enticing with long front forks with travel up to 180 mm. The high-raised front mudguard has now meshed with a new single-pod all-LED headlight unit. Yamaha offers a minimalistic flyscreen for the Crosser model.
The overall nimble Crosser at 137 kg does host a sleek design. The fuel tank is attached with large side fenders with aero vents to make it look big. The single-seat is wide enough for hauling the rider over long stints. The rear end of Crosser hosts an upright-slung single-exhaust in a typical adv style. The rear suspension is a single mono-shock that has a travel of 160mm.
Yamaha has updated the new Crosser with an all-digital instrument cluster. The blue-lit background of this digital cluster now also holds the function of Bluetooth connectivity. A 12V charging socket is also added for making the rides more comfortable.
Crosser 150 Engine & Specifications
Yamaha uses a tried and tested 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine for the Crosser 150. This engine is capable of producing peak power of 12.2 hp and 12.74 Nm of peak torque. These figures are similar to the Yamaha FZ Fi as both these bikes share the same platform. Gearbox duties are paid via a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.
Yamaha has tuned this engine to become able to run on petrol or ethanol as well. This is to make the engine more economical and easy to ride in areas with the availability of low-quality fuel. For braking, Yamaha Crosser uses a single disc at the front tyre and a drum setup at the rear tyre.
With such a brilliant set up to tackle the rough roads of India and an economical engine, Yamaha Crosser 150 makes a strong case for itself to come to India. Sadly, there are no such plans from Yamaha India, and not even the near future looks bright for the Crosser to be launched in India.
