Upcoming 2024 Isuzu V-Cross Facelift Teased: New Features, Visual Updates
Isuzu is giving the V-Cross pickup truck in India a mid-cycle refresh. Expect some visual tweaks for a bolder look, along with additional features with the 2024 Isuzu V-Cross facelift to enhance its appeal to buyers. The teased Isuzu V-Cross facelift hints at a cosmetic refresh. While the alloy wheel design remains familiar, they might receive a two-tone color treatment for a bolder look. The headlights and fog lamp housings appear unchanged, but the grille could be tweaked for a more aggressive stance. New cladding on the fenders adds a touch of ruggedness, while the taillights seem to carry over the usual styling.
Isuzu teases the V-Cross facelift with the familiar interior with the same dashboard layout and the infotainment system, all the rear passengers now get crucial 3-point seatbelts. While the brand mentioned new features, you can expect added functionality with features like a wireless charging pad, TPMS, and more. It will continue with existing features like powered front seat adjustment, cruise control, 6 airbags, an idle-start stop system, automatic climate control, electrically foldable ORVMs, and more.

Powertrain: No Changes Here!
The facelifted V-Cross is expected to retain its time-tested workhorse mill. Under the hood, the familiar 1.9-liter diesel engine continues, churning out 163 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. This engine will likely pair with the same 6-speed manual or automatic transmission options. The current variant lineup of Z 4x2 manual, Z 4x4 manual, and Z Prestige 4x4 automatic is also expected to carry over.
Although no official mention, the updated model is expected to hit the Indian market in the coming weeks. At its launch, it will directly face the Toyota Hilux in the segment. The pricing will also register an uptick, courtesy of the added tech on board.
Verdict
The segment of pick-up trucks is not very spreadout and only a handful number of players operate in the segment. While the updated V-Cross will be better equipped to take on the Hilux, this is not the end of it. Mahindra is working on a pick-up truck based on the Scorpio-N and more such players will enter the market soon, still keeping it a niche but competitive space.
