2024 Maruti Swift Facelift: Bookings Officially Open
The upcoming Maruti Swift facelift has been launched globally and is now making its way into the Indian markets on May 9. Before its launch, the official bookings are now open at a token amount of Rs. 11.000. You can make the bookings through the official website, or by visiting your nearest Maruti Arena dealerships. The new Swift is coming with refreshed exterior tweaks all the while maintaining that iconic essence of the hatch. A New Headlamp unit, revised front, and rear bumper, new alloys impart a much-needed fresh feel.
New Features Incoming
In its updated version, the car showcases a redesigned interior with notable features such as a flat-bottom steering wheel and revamped air conditioning vents on the updated dashboard layout. Moreover, it now boasts an enriched feature set including a 9-inch floating infotainment touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control, and keyless entry with push start, among others.
Regarding safety, the vehicle comes equipped with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the global variant. However, it's improbable that the Indian version will include ADAS.
Powertrain: New Mild-Hybrid Mill!
The hatchback is ditching its older unit for a new Z-series mild-hybrid engine. Customers globally have the choice of a 1.2-liter petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT, as well as a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and AWD. The 1.2-liter petrol engine features a 3-cylinder unit with a 12V mild-hybrid system, delivering 82PS power and a peak torque of 112 Nm. However, the AWD variant will not be making its way into the Indian markets.

Pricing And Rivals
We expect the updated model to start somewhere around Rs. 6.5 lakhs mark. It will continue to rival other hatchbacks in the segment like Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago, and others.
