2024 Maruti Swift Facelift: Mileage Of Upto 27.29 Kmpl
The facelift model, before entering the Indian market was introduced in UK, where the 3 engine options are being offered with the highest mileage figure being 27.29 kmpl. It comes with a choice of a 1.2 litre petrol with 5MT, 1.2 liter petrol with CVT, and a 1.2-litre petrol with 5MT with AWD. The 1.2 litre petrol engine is a 3-cylinder unit with a 12V mild-hybrid system. It churns out 82PS power with a peak torque of 112 Nm.
Let's quickly get into the respective mileage numbers as tabled below.
Engine | Mileage(kmpl) |
1.2 litre petrol with 5MT | 27.29 |
1.2 liter petrol with CVT | 25.55 |
1.2-litre petrol with 5MT with AWD | 24.49 |
In terms of mileage, the petrol with 5-speed manual transmission claims a fuel efficiency of 27.29 kmpl. With a CVT transmission, this drops down to 25.55 kmpl. If you are opting for the AWD variant with sole 5-speed annual gearbox, it claims a mileage of 24.49kmpl. However, it is highly unlikely that the AWD version will hit the Indian shores.
Interior And Features
Talking about interiors, the facelift model offers a revamped cabin with a flat-bottom steering wheel and a redesigned aircon vents design on the revamped dashboard layout. Also, the hatchback is now richer in its feature list. You get a 9-inch floating infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry with push start, and more. In terms of safety, you get multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, ADAS, and more.
Expected Launch And Rivals
While the launch can be expected around later this year, the facelift model will command a price uptick, courtesy of its upgraded tech quotient. The current model starts at Rs. 5.99 lakhs, and the facelift could be Rs. 50,000 to 70,000 more expensive than this. It will continue to rival the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Tata Tiago, and others.
Verdict
The Swift has never been a fuel hungry vehicle, which happened to be one of its major selling point. While the updated model brings in a lot of new changes, it mintains its typical essence of Maruti Swift, something that resonates quite well with the Indian masses.
