Maruti Swift Facelift Indian Launch
Maintaining its Swift charm, the upcoming 2024 Maruti Swift facelift incorporates major interior updates along with a tweaked exterior profile. The forthcoming Swift presents a refreshed front fascia, incorporating a fresh grille, redesigned headlamps with DRLs, a streamlined bumper, and polygonal fog lamps. In global variants equipped with ADAS, a radar module is situated on the upper part of the front grille, which the Swift facelift might miss out on here in India.
The front and rear bumpers get tweaked styling, whereas the door handles are something that have been repositioned, The side profile reveals conventional rear door handles in place of the C-pillar mounted ones, paired with a fresh set of sporty alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, the new Swift features distinctive C-shaped tail lamps, adding a touch of distinction.
Interior And Features
Regarding interiors, the facelifted model presents a redesigned cabin featuring a flat-bottom steering wheel and revamped air conditioning vents on the updated dashboard layout. Furthermore, the hatchback now boasts an enhanced feature list, including a 9-inch floating infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry with push start, and more.
In terms of safety, it offers multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, ADAS, and additional safety features in the global variant. However, ADAS is very unlikely to be offered in the Indian version.

Engine: Mild-Hybrid Mill On The Way
Before its debut in the Indian market, the facelifted model is already active in the UK, offering three engine options with the highest mileage figure reaching 27.29 km. Customers can select from a 1.2-liter petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a CVT, and a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and AWD.
The 1.2-liter petrol engine features a 3-cylinder unit with a 12V mild-hybrid system, delivering 82PS power and a peak torque of 112 Nm. However, is it highly unlikely that the AWD version will hit our Indian markets. On top of this, the Swift facelift will continue with a CNG powertrain as well.
Expect the updated Swift facelift pricing to command a slight premium, courtesy of its updated tech list and other add-ons. It continues to rival the Hyundai Grand i10, Tata Tiago, and others in the segment.
