1. Exterior Styling: Visual Tweaks But The Charm Remains
The all-new 2024 Maruti Swift brings a fresh appeal to the popular hatchback. It gets a sharper LED headlamp unit along with a refreshed grille which now rests a little higher than before. On top of this, you get a new bumper with the logo now housed above the grille. Coming to the side profile, it looks and feels like Swift, but look closely and you will see that the rear door handles have been shifted back to their conventional position. The 16-inch alloys are dual-tone and carry a fresh cut.
The rear has been adorned with an updated set of wraparound tail lights and a revised bumper. Even with all these updates, the brand has managed to keep the iconic charm intact for quick recognition.
2. Updated Dashboard Layout
The dashboard layout is now a radically updated affair than the outgoing model. The cabin gets a makeover with a redesigned dashboard featuring a refreshed center console and a larger infotainment screen. The instrument cluster is a semi-digital unit carried over from the Fronx, while the flat-bottom steering wheel receives a subtle refresh with the addition of black piano accents. Overall, the interior conveys a more modern and feature-rich ambiance which takes us to our third point.
3. New Features: Now That's An Upgrade!
The next-gen Swift is now a more tech-laden model than ever before. While you do get bigger touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, that is not all. You now get modern features like a wireless charger, connected features, cruise control, rear AC vents, rear wiper and washer, all power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rear USB charging ports, and much more.

Transmission choices encompass a six-speed manual unit and an AMT unit. Interstingly, while the power figure has been dropped from the earlier 89Ps, the new engine is now more fuel efficient. It claims a mileage of 25.75 kmpl for the AMT version whereas the Manual variants return a mileage of 24.80 kmpl. It is a jump of 14% for the AMT and 10% for the MT gearbox, which is a big hit with the Indian market.
5. Price And Rivals
The fourth-gen Maruti Swift prices start at Rs. 6.49 lakhs and go all the way up to Rs.9.64 lakhs. It continues to rival other hatchbacks in the segment like the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Tata Tiago, and more.
Verdict
The 2024 Swift addresses a lot of underlying issues with the previous generation. It is now a whole new experience inside the cabin with a lof of new practical features. Talking about its heart, the new mild-hybrid engine is now more fuel efficient than before adding that cherry on top. While you do get a slight hit with reduced power, but it wont be a deal breaker with the mileage making up for it.
