Skoda has taken the wraps off the highly-anticipated second-generation Kodiaq. Just last week, they teased us with design sketches, and now, the real deal is here. As you take a closer look, you'll notice that the production model closely mirrors those sketches, maintaining a familiar yet striking presence. However, there's more than meets the eye with this new-gen Kodiaq.

2024 Skoda Kodiaq: New Design Details
The brand-new Kodiaq, built on Volkswagen Group's adaptable MQB platform, comes in two options: one that seats five and another for seven. It has a fresh design with smoother edges, though it still looks boxy. It stands taller, which makes it seem more imposing.
Up front, there's the well-known Skoda grille, painted black, and surrounded by modern LED headlights. The front also has a shapely hood and a redesigned bumper with slim, upright fog lights. Around the back, you'll notice wider C-shaped LED taillights that reach towards the centre, and they're connected by a standout red bar. You can even opt for a special Dark Chrome finish on the D-pillar. And, depending on your preference, you can choose alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 20 inches in size.

2024 Skoda Kodiaq: Colours, Features, Safety And Dimension
When it comes to colour choices, you have nine elegant options to pick from: Bronx Gold, Velvet Red, Race Blue, Black Magic, Moon White, Brilliant Silver, Steel Grey, Graphite Grey, and Energy Blue. Additionally, there are four interior selections available: Suite Cognac, Suite Black, Lounge, and Loft.
Within the interior realm, a standout feature is the prominent 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, accompanied by a 10-inch digital instrument panel. Alongside these, you'll find a host of conveniences: voice control, a multifunction steering wheel, and three smart dials beneath the infotainment interface.

The thoughtful design extends to include wireless charging with cooling, USB-C ports, a Virtual Cockpit, LED Matrix headlights, ambient lighting, and in-built navigation. Plus, you can enjoy auto climate control, a front seat massage function, a high-quality 14-speaker Canton audio system, and even opt for a head-up display. The interior also boasts some clever additions, such as an umbrella compartment, integrated funnel, electric child safety lock, door-edge protection, an electric tailgate with a virtual pedal, and an electrically retractable tow bar for added convenience.
Safety is paramount in the new-gen Kodiaq, boasting an impressive package that includes nine airbags, a remote parking assist, a reverse parking camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These systems include Collision Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection, along with Crossroad Assist and Automated Emergency Braking.
The new Kodiaq is longer at 4,758mm but retains its height, width, and wheelbase. It offers a roomy 910-litre boot in the five-seat version. Automatic variants have a redesigned gear selector for added storage space in the centre console.
