Tata Altroz Racer Engine - Manual Transmission Only
The Racer edition will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-charged petrol engine producing 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. This engine will get a 6-speed manual transmission option only. If we look at the performance, this engine gets a power boost as compared to the regular 1.2-litre i-turbo variant of Altroz which produces 110 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque.
Verdict
The Altroz Racer edition is one of the most anticipated launch of the year. It will compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line which produces similar power and 2 Nm more torque. The advantage which the i20 N Line holds is with the option of a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The Altroz Racer edition only gets a manual transmission option. We expect the Altroz Racer to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh to 13 lakh (ex-showroom).
