BYD e6 To Get A Facelift Teased Ahead Of Launch, Or Is It The M6?

BYD India seems to be preparing the BYD e6 MPV facelift for the Indian market. The brand has released the first teaser of the upcoming e6 facelift on its social media. The e6 was the first BYD vehicle to be launched for private buyers in the Indian market back in 2022. Now, after 2 years the brand is all set to bring the facelift of the MPV. The e6 facelift was recently unveiled at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) as the BYD M6. Read details of the upcoming BYD e6 facelift below. BYD e6 Facelift

In the recently released teaser, the brand has showcased the headlamp of the upcoming facelift which looks similar to the recently unveiled M6. The upcoming facelift will get a revised front fascia with new LED headlamps and a redesigned LED DRL. Moreover, the front bumper is revised with a new design for the air vents and it gets chrome embellishments. The LED headlamp is connected through satin trim in the center of the grille. The brand denotes the front fascia as the 'Dragon Face'

On the sides, the international spec M6 gets a similar profile with a new 17-inch alloy wheel design which is expected to make way for the India spec model as well. The rear profile of the MPV now gets a new wraparound LED tail lamp with new lighting elements. The international model gets a sleek connected light as well. Moreover, the rear bumper is also tweaked.

Moving to the interior of the MPV, the facelift is expected to get a new 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment, a tweaked center console area, a new gear selector, and other minor tweaks. If we talk about other features, it will get ventilated seats, two wireless charging pads, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

Moreover, the international model gets a three-row 6/7 seater version but it is not sure if the brand will launch the three-row version in India or not. Currently, the BYD e6 is available with a 5-seater version in India.

BYD e6 Facelift Powertrain

The BYD e6 in India is equipped with a 71.8 kWh battery pack. Internationally, the M6 is available with two battery options: a 55.4 kWh pack and a 71.8 kWh pack. The former produces 163 bhp of power and the latter produces 204 bhp of power. The torque output of both variants is rated at 310 Nm. The smaller battery pack gives a range of 420 km on a single charge, while the bigger one gives a range of 530 km.
