The pre-bookings of the upcoming hatchback, Citroen C3 are now open and can be done from July 1 to July 19, 2022. What's interesting is that the French carmaker is offering 10% cashback on AXIS bank credit cards, however, this is limited to specific ones only. You have to ask your nearest dealership to ask for the same.
Mechanically, Citroen C3 is powered by two engine options - 1.2-litre non-turbo and 1.2L turbocharged petrol. The former generates as much as 81 bhp of power with a peak torque of 115 Nm whereas the three-pot, turbocharged motor belts out peak power and torque of 108 bhp and 190 Nm, respectively.
What's interesting is that the 1.2L turbo petrol motor is even stronger than Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger. It also beats the new Hyundai Venue in terms of peak torque figures. The 1.2L non-turbo engine is mated to a 5-speed manual whereas the more powerful, turbocharged petrol motor gets mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is no automatic for now!

Feature-wise, the C3 will be equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, manual HVAC control, a digital instrument cluster and more. However, it does miss out on basic features that we see in other cars like alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, automatic climate control, no automatic gearbox and many more.
Safety equipment on the Citroen C3 includes dual airbags at the front, rear parking sensors, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, a high-speed alert system, front seat-belt reminder, speed-sensing door locks and more.

The prices of the C3 will be out on July 20th and we expect it to start from Rs 5.20 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Once launched, it will rival Nissan Magnite, Maruti Ignis, Tata Punch and even hatchbacks like Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
