The Citroen C3 is expected to go on sale later this year and it will lock horns with the likes of Tata Punch and Nissan Magnite
Ahead of its local market debut, the Citroen C3 has been spied on the road in what could be the production-spec guise. The right-hand-drive Citroen C3 has been seen testing near Chennai and the second offering from the local subsidiary of the French carmaker is expected to go on sale in the coming months.

India-Spec Citroen C3 Exterior Design
As can be seen in the images we have got here, the India-spec Citroen C3 seems identical to the international version that made its global debut last year but a closer look does reveal some discrepancies. One can spot some extra chrome trim around the turn indicators on the front fenders, near the reflectors in the rear bumper and also near the taillamps. The affinity Indian car buyers have towards chrome bits is sure to have pushed the carmaker to offer these shiny bits.
Also, the car that has been spotted features black-painted steel wheels with rather stylish wheel caps. Furthermore, the B-SUV misses out on the plastic cladding on the lower section of the doors. It's also possible that the test mule which has been spied is a lower-trim model that misses out on the aforementioned bits. There are, in fact, good chances that the fully loaded model would look almost exactly like the global version, albeit, in a Right-Hand-Drive configuration. It's noteworthy that India will become an export hub of C3 for RHD markets.

The Citroen C3 measures 3.98-metre in length and looks much like a hatchback on stilts. However, its high ground clearance and the high-set bonnet should help it distinguish itself from conventional hatchbacks. Upfront, it will have a split headlamp design along with the signature double chevron grille. In the side profile, the high-end models will likely feature plastic cladding on the lower section of doors and on the wheel arches, while the pillars will be blacked out. At the rear, it will have rectangular taillamps, a dual-tone bumper and a faux skid plate to complete the mini-me C5 Aircross look.
India-Spec Citroen C3 Interior
The interior is expected to be high on space and practicality. The top-end model could feature a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car will even offer a digital instrument cluster but the auto aircon and electric adjustments for the mirrors will be conspicuous by their absence.
