Citroen eC3 is the brand's first electric car in India and is based on the C3 hatchback available with a petrol powertrain. The eC3 comes in just two variants i.e. Live & Feel. While the lower variant 'Live' costs Rs 11.50 lakh ex-showroom, the upper variant 'Feel' comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.13 lakh. Now the lower variant of eC3 has started arriving at the showrooms and dealerships. In this article, we have described all the features that the Citroen eC3 gets or misses out on.
Citroen eC3 Base Live Variant: Exteriors
On the exterior, the base Live variant of Citroen eC3 gets only the basic features including halogen headlamps, taillamps & indicators. Although it gets the black-colored plastic body cladding in the front & rear of the vehicle, it misses out on wheel arch cladding. Also, it does not get LED DRLs and front fog lamps that are present on the upper Feel variant. On the sides, it comes with manually operated ORVMs and 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. Moreover, the B & C pillars in the Live variant of eC3 do get blacked-out treatment. However, at the rear, it misses out on the wiper, washer & defogger. Also, it misses out on roof rails and dual-tone roof.
Citroen eC3 Base Live Variant: Interiors
Talking about the interiors, the eC3's Live variant comes with a very basic interior. There is no touchscreen infotainment system or speakers in this variant. Moreover, it also misses out on some comfort and convenience features like a height-adjustable driver seat, tilt-adjustable steering wheel & steering-mounted controls. Although it gets manual AC and front power windows.
On the safety front, the Live variant of eC3 gets ABS, EBD, dual front airbags, reverse sensors, front seat belt reminder, etc. Moreover, a buyer can also opt for the factory-fitted VIBE PACK which adds front fog lamps and several other cosmetic updates to the vehicle.

Verdict: The base Live variant of the Citroen eC3 comes with extremely basic features and the buyers would feel the need to go for aftermarket solutions if they go with this variant. However, you can also spend just Rs 63,000 more and go with the upper Feel variant which gets features like a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4 speakers, LED DRLs, height adjustable driver seat, tilt-adjustable steering with mounted controls, etc.
