Citroen India has been working on the electrified version of the C3 hatchback for the Indian market. Christened as the Citroen eC3, the company confirmed the four-wheeler's launch a long time back and we have already come across plenty of spy images of the test mule. In the latest development, the detailed specs of the electric hatch have been revealed and it is slated for launch in February 2023. The pre-bookings of the eC3 will be commenced on 22nd January. For reference, this will be the brand's first EV for the Indian market.

Citroen eC3: Powertrain and Range
The Citroen eC3 will be powered by a 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, putting out a power output of 57 bhp and 143 Nm of peak torque. Citroen claims an ARAI-certified electric driving range of 320 kilometres with the hatchback. The top speed is limited to 107 kmph and the hatch can do the 0-60 kmph sprint in just 6.8 seconds.

As per the company, using 100% DC fast charging the battery pack can be charged from 10% to 80% in around 57 minutes. While the regular 15AMP plug point charging time stands at around 10.5 hours. The eC3 electric will be launched in February 2023, while the pre-bookings will commence on 22nd January.
Talking about the features, the eC3 will come loaded with a host of tech features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment system, connected car tech, driving modes, theatre-style seating layout, high seating position and more. Moreover, it gets 47 customization options spread across 3 distinctive packs, 2 interior themes, 4 colour options and 3 new dual-tone paint schemes.
Apart from these, Citroen has also claimed that the eC3 gets the segment's best wheelbase of 2,540 mm. The ground clearance of the electric hatchback is 170 mm. For complete peace of mind, Citroen is offering a standard warranty of 7 years/ 1,40,000 kilometres for the battery and 5 years/1,00,000 kilometres for the electric motor.
