Citroen India is all set to launch their entry-level car, C3 in the Indian market on July 20 and the official bookings for the same will commence from 1st of July. This product will rival Maruti Ignis, Tata Punch and even some variants of the Nissan Magnite. In this article, we will be sharing everything you need to know about the product.
Mechanically, there will be two engine options for now - 1.2L non-turbo and 1.2L turbocharged petrol motor. The former generates as much as 80 bhp of power while the turbo petrol motor belts out 108 bhp of power with a peak torque of 190 Nm. A five-speed stick shift with the naturally aspirated motor and 6-speed manual transmission will be offered with the more powerful turbocharged petrol engine. There is no automatic gearbox available as an option for now.
In terms of length and width, the C3 is longer and wider than its immediate rivals, Tata Punch and Maruti Ignis. The wheelbase of the car sticks to 2540 mm which is even bigger than some of the compact SUVs like Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.

Feature-wise, the C3 will pack in a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fast charging for rear and front-seat passengers, all-four power windows, manual HVAC function and among other things. The car packs in 315 litres of boot space and gets 180 mm of ground clearance.
We expect a 360-degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system with the Citroen C3. Other safety features include a high-speed alert system, front seat-belt reminder, rear parking sensors, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, dual airbags at the front and more.

The bookings of Citroen C3 will commence from July 1 and we expect the prices to stick between Rs 5.50 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It gets the most powerful turbocharged petrol motor when compared with rivals like Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
