Confused about the two Mahindra SUVs? Here are five differences between the XUV700 and the Scorpio N to help you clear your confusion

One of the major differences between the two Mahindra SUVs will be the lack of ADAS in the Scorpio N. The presence of ADAS in the XUV700 adds features such as lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alerts, adaptive cruise control, etc. On the other, the Scorpio N does not get any of these features.

The XUV700 gets a twin-screen setup, panoramic sunroof, white leather interiors, etc. On the other hand, the Scorpio N makes to do with a simpler single infotainment screen which is smaller in size (8 inches vs 10.25 inches on the XUV700). Also, the Scorpio N gets a smaller non-panoramic sunroof.

Diesel Engine

While there is no difference in the Petrol engines of both the XUV700 and the Scorpio N, the diesel engine does have quite a bit of difference between the two. The base tune of the diesel engine of the XUV700 is rated at 156 PS and 360 Nm while the same for the ScorpioN is rated at 130 PS and 300 Nm.
While the upper variants get a diesel engine rated at 185 PS and 420 Nm (MT)/450 Nm (AT) in the XUV700 with the ScorpioN having its upper spec diesel engine rated at 172 PS and 400 Nm.

Body Structure

The XUV700 gets a monocoque construction while the Scorpio N gets a body-on-frame construction. In terms of sophistication, the XUV700 has a more sophisticated body structure that results in better ride comfort and better driving dynamics compared to the ScorpioN. However, the body-on-frame construction of the ScorpioN means that it's a more abuse-friendly vehicle.

Design

Both vehicles take completely different approaches in terms of the design language that they carry. While the XUV700 has a curvaceous design reminiscent of the XUV500, the ScorpioN carries forward the boxy design language of the Scorpio Classic ahead in a very sophisticated manner often drawing comparisons with the Alturas G4
