- Citroen C3 Turbo coming back reportedly in May 2023
- With BS6 Phase 2 compliant engine
- Will offer more safety features
- To be available in the new Top-spec Shine Variant as well
Just recently, Citroen C3 Turbo was nowhere to be seen on the website, and we made that information available for you. Since the normal petrol was updated to the BS6 Phase 2 norms and listed on the website, the same couldn't be said for its punchier variant. This gave rise to speculations about its axing, but that is now off the charts. The turbo is making a comeback.
But if you were planning to get your hands on the leftover stock, you might want to hear this. The updated Citroen C3 1.2-Litre turbo is making a comeback with extra safety features. Let's get into why you should wait for this one.
Citroen C3 Turbo Coming Back With More Safety Features
Making its way back to the showrooms in May 2023, the turbo variant will be updated with the BS6 Phase 2 norms. Not only this, it will come with more safety features as standard as well. These include TPMS, Hill-Hold Assist, an electronic stability program, and an idle auto start-stop system, all offered as standard with the vehicle.
Engine
The same 1.2-liter turbo engine is coming with RDE updates. It churns out a power of 110 PS with a peak torque of 190 Nm. The same engine returning but with a bumped-up safety tech on board is definitely worth waiting for.
New Shine Variant Turbo On The Cards
Just recently, a fresh top-end variant of the C3 made its appearance that sits above the Live and Feel variants. The same top-end variant is coming as an option with this turbo mill as well. It offers more features than the existing lineup like power-adjustable side mirrors, day/night IRVM, rear wiper with washer, and rear defogger. More features include a reverse parking camera, fog lamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, telematics, and a faux rear skid plate.
VERDICT- The return of the turbo is a necessary move for the French automaker. It helps it better position itself against its rivals. The new Fronx goes head-on with the Citroen C3 and offers the option of both normal petrol and turbo petrol engine options. Also, May is just around the corner and you should wait for this updated C3.
