Just a few days ago we shared the news that country's second-largest carmaker, Hyundai has pulled the plug from the diesel versions of Grand i10 Nios and Aura. Now, in a recent turn of events, it is being hinted upon that the carmaker has stopped the production of turbo petrol variant of the Grand i10 Nios. We also believe the same will be done with the Aura too.

The price of the Grand i10 Nios turbo petrol is not available on Hyundai's official website. We believe they have silently axed the production of this variant because of the low demand in the market. The Nios turbo was first introduced in the market on Feb 14, 2022.
The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol unit was the same as found in the Hyundai Venue. However, the power and peak torque figures were downsized and limited to 99 bhp and 172 Nm, respectively. This engine was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. The ARAI-certified mileage for the same was 20.3 kmpl.
The Grand i10 Nios was available in the Sportz variant only and it only carried two changes when compared with the 1.2L petrol, the powerful 1.0L turbo petrol motor and cosmetic updates. It had a gloss black grille with turbo badging, black treatment on the roof and ORVMs and the boot lid too got Turbo badging.

The interior too was different as it got an all-black dashboard and contrast red inserts on the AC vents surround. Furthermore, the seats, as well as the steering wheel, got red colour stitching. The same combo is available on the Aura turbo too.
