The new Skoda Kodiaq was recently launched in the Indian market and soon after the prices of the vehicle were announced in the country, all the units of the Kodiaq were sold in just 20 days. The brand will be introducing the next batch of SUV in the coming months. The price too will be hiked for the coming units. Here are all the details that you would want to know about this SUV. In one of the recent official announcements, Skoda confirmed that all the 1200 units of the new Skoda Kodiaq were sold out in just 20 days after the price for the car was announced. The Kodia was being brought into the country via the CKD route and was being locally assembled at the brand's Aurangabad plant. Three different variants were on offer with the Skoda Kodiaq - Style, Sportline, and L&K. Zac Hollis, Director, Skoda India, tweeted that the newly launched Skoda Kodiaq is sold out for 2022 while the buyers of the first batch of the Kodiaq have a waiting period of up to four months. He had recently confirmed that the next batch of the SUV will be here soon.

Having said this, while the current Kodiaq was priced from INR 34.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the coming batch units will have a higher price tag. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-L TSI motor that churns out 190 hp and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The SUV also boasts a 4WD drivetrain. On the features front, the SUV is offered with features like a 360-degree camera, hands-free parking, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, nine airbags, electronic differential lock and a lot more. Other features like a panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled front seats are also offered.
The Kodiaq takes on the rivals like the VW Tiguan, MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, and the Citroen C5 Aircross and promises to be a strong contender with its power-packed powertrain and a premium cabin.
