The South-Korean automaker Hyundai has recently launched its flagship electric SUV the Ioniq 5 EV in India. The brand now appears to be getting ready to compete in the mainstream EV market. A Hyundai Creta EV prototype was recently spotted in India for the first time. The prototype, which was based on the current-generation Creta, might currently be undergoing initial testing. Hyundai Creta EV
The Creta EV seen in the images is based on the Creta of the current generation. The car was not camouflaged and was seen next to a charging station. The brand has not yet made any announcements on the Creta EV's debut, and it is still unknown what the EV's specifications will be. We might assume that the EV will share the powertrain and other features of the most recent E-GMP EV platform from Hyundai. The production variation is likely to be based on the upcoming newest generation ICE variant of the Creta, although the test mule was based on the current generation.
The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, which will go up against the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX, is anticipated to debut in 2025. It is anticipated that the price will fall between Rs 15 and Rs 30 lakhs. The upcoming Creta EV will be a strong challenger in the Indian market for electric SUVs. The Creta is currently a market leader in its category, and the EV version will be a strong rival for the upcoming EVs in the same price range.

Upcoming Hyundai Cars
Hyundai has already teased the upcoming new generation Verna in India. On March 21, the 2023 Hyundai Verna will be launched. It will come with two engine choices: a 1.5-liter NA petrol engine and a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine.
Verdict: Hyundai has not made any announcements on the Creta EV's release, but the finding of the test car indicates that the company is thinking about entering the mainstream EV market. The Creta is a popular car, and if it is offered in an electric version, the brand will be able to capture a sizeable portion of the EV market.
