Hyundai Creta is a very popular mid-size SUV in the Indian market. In fact, in May 2021, it became the best-selling car in the country. The new second-generation Creta was launched in India in March 2020 and thus it is quite a fresh car in our country. However, in Russia, the Hyundai Creta has got an overhaul. So, is the updated new Creta coming to India soon? Let's find out.
The company has recently launched the new Hyundai Creta in Russia. The Russian-spec Creta looks identical to the one we have on sale in India. But, there are some subtle visual changes that make it more appealing than the India-spec model. For instance, it gets a revised studded grille instead of the horizontal chrome strips running horizontally and vertically. It also gets a new design for the bumper with a revised air dam and a new skid plate.

The side profile of the SUV doesn't get any changes at all. However, the rear profile of this new Creta looks sharper than the India-spec model. Also, the LED taillamp of the Russian-spec Creta doesn't get a connecting treatment. Hop inside the cabin and you can see that while the overall layout of the cabin remains the same, it gets a new upholstery. The updated Creta gets dual-tone Brown and Black theme similar to the one we get on the Alcazar.

In Russia, the Creta gets a 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed MT and AT and it gets 4WD too. So, will this updated Hyundai Creta come to India? We believe it won't come to India. Instead, we will get the facelifted Creta that has been recently spied undergoing testing on the roads for the first time ever. The upcoming new Hyundai Creta Facelift will get some big styling updates and it will resemble the new-gen Tucson to a great extent.
