Launched last year in March before lockdown, the new-gen Hyundai Creta immediately became likeable to the Indian market. The mid-size SUV packed in every feature one needs and got three engine options to everyone's taste. Just recently, we have got the update that the waiting period on the Hyundai Creta is now to 5 months.

Yes, to bring a new Hyundai Creta, the waiting period is close to 150 days. It also depends on the specific variants and colour options but still, it is huge. Hyundai is the second-largest carmaker in the country and it brings in a huge share of sales from their plant.

One of the reasons for the highest waiting period might be because they just launched their 7-seater SUV, Alcazar. Priced at just Rs 16.30 lakh for the base Prestige variant, Alcazar carries all the features like a larger panoramic sunroof, 10.25inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear disc brakes, cognac brown and black dual-tone scheme, wireless charging and more.

In a recent report, Hyundai mentioned that their average sales stick to above 12,000 units for the Creta ever since it got launched in March 2020. The mid-size SUV rivals the popular Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, MG Hector and the recently launched Skoda Kushaq.

To further improve sales, Hyundai also brought in the SX Executive variant that sits below the SX trim. This executive variant is priced at Rs 79,000 lower than the SX and carries a huge panoramic sunroof. What it doesn't have is the bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen system and the signature BlueLink technology.
