Just recently, Hyundai increased the prices of Creta, one of their best selling mid-size SUV and now reports suggest, other models, follow the league too. Right from the entry-level hatchback, Santro, to the flagship Tucson, most of the cars now gets expensive to own by a margin.
Hyundai Santro is powered by a 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine and is priced from Rs 4.74 lakh to Rs 6.42 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The carmaker has increased the entry-level trims costlier by Rs 6200 and the Sportz AMT is expensive by Rs 1500.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios which rivals Maruti Swift is expensive by Rs 4200 for the 5-speed manual variants petrol and diesel option. Both the CNG and AMT versions get expensive by Rs 5200 and the Sportz turbo variant is costlier by Rs 1200.

The Maruti Dzire rival, Hyundai Aura is costlier by Rs 5200 for the petrol variants, Rs 1200 for the diesel and Rs 8200 for the CNG ones. Similarly, the petrol versions of Verna receives the maximum price hike of Rs 8700 while the diesel and turbo petrol is expensive by Rs 5700 from before.
Continuing the trend of the price hike of petrol variants, Elantra too receives a major hike of Rs 15,000 for the petrol AT. The other variants are expensive by Rs 2,000. Currently, Elantra is the only D-segment sedan present in its segment but this won't be for too long as Skoda is bringing their latest-gen Octavia to the market.

Sharing an update on the flagship SUV, Tucson, then the GLS 2WD AT Petrol receives the massive hike of Rs 34,000. Other variants like GL(O) 2WD AT Petrol, GL(O) 2WD AT Diesel and GLS 4WD AT, are expensive by just Rs 2,000. The prices of E 1.2L Petrol of Venue gets an increase of 5400, Rs 2590 on the SX turbo and Rs 1400 for the Sport SX iMT Turbo.
