Words from Official
R Velusamy, President of Automotive Technology and Product Development at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., emphasized the significance of this milestone: "The BE 6 and XEV 9e symbolize a new era in Indian automotive safety. Built on the robust INGLO platform and empowered by the cutting-edge MAIA technology, these eSUVs set new benchmarks in performance, innovation, and safety."
The INGLO platform integrates the battery into the underbody, enhancing stability by lowering the vehicle's centre of gravity- a critical aspect for SUVs. The structure, reinforced with ultra-high-strength boron steel, forms a protective cocoon around the cabin, ensuring superior crash resilience. Rigorous testing of the battery system further ensures optimal safety in extreme conditions, underscoring Mahindra's commitment to electric vehicle reliability.
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E: Advanced Safety Features
The BE 6 and XEV 9e boast an array of advanced safety features, starting with Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include automatic lane change, lane centring, blind spot detection, and emergency steering assist. Enhancing visibility and situational awareness, the vehicles offer a 360-degree vision system, featuring an augmented reality heads-up display (HUD), a blind view monitor, and live recording capabilities.
In terms of braking, the eSUVs come equipped with intelligent electronic brake boosters and electronic parking brakes. Lighting innovations, such as auto booster lamps, cornering lamps and front fog lamps provide exceptional visibility, especially in challenging conditions.
Occupant safety is further prioritized with the inclusion of seven airbags and a robust crash-resistant structure, making these vehicles some of the safest options on the road today.
Other 5-Stars in the House
