Mahindra will reveal its first E-SUV, the BE 6e, globally tomorrow. The mega event will also witness the unveiling of the bigger XEV 9e. Mahindra BE 6e: Design
The Mahindra BE 6e looks futuristic in terms of design. The elements supplementing its futuristic bodywork are "BE logos", a glass roof, a twin-spoke steering wheel and C-shaped LED DRLs that surround the headlights. Other design elements include dual displays, driver-focused interiors and an illuminated logo on the steering wheel.
Mahindra BE 6e: Features
On the feature front, the BE 6e will get features such as a dual-screen setup with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and wireless charger. Other features on offer include a type-c charging port, ambient lighting, electronic parking brake, drive modes, auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting and auto-hold.
Powertrain and Range
The Mahindra BE 6e is expected to be powered by a 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack, enabling a maximum range of up to 500 km. The INGLO platform is capable of supporting both 2WD and 4WD drivetrain, so we can expect a 4WD version of the BEV as well. The BE 6e supports fast charging of up to 175kW, charging the EV from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes.
Rivals and Price
The Mahindra BE 6e is expected to be priced between Rs. 16 lakh and 24 lakh (ex-showroom). With all the above-mentioned features and the expected price tag, the Mahindra BE 6e will lock horns with the likes of BYD Atto 3, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and the MG ZS EV.
