Mahindra Scorpio Classic: What the SUV Offers?
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is powered by the latest Gen-2 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine putting out 130 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The SUV is available in 9-seater and 7-seater configurations.
Verdict: The price hike of Scorpio Classic was quite obvious, given that Mahindra had already given a price increment to Scorpio N and XUV700. Rs. 65,000 premium for the exact same product is quite steep, however, this scenario has become quite common in the Indian automotive industry. Customers have now become immune to these sudden price jumps and any effects on the sales numbers of the SUV are highly unlikely. Moreover, the sheer popularity and road presence of the Scorpio Classic are the contributing factors which compel prospective buyers to pay the demanded price.
