Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon are the two most popular compact SUVs available in the market right now. Be it the features or the build quality, both the SUVs impress the right set of buyers. However, it was the XUV300 that was a little pricier than the Nexon. But that's changed as the petrol W8 variant of the Mahindra XUV300 is available with a whopping discount of Rs 69,000. So much so that the XUV300 W8 now costs Rs 10.15 lakh compared to Rs 10.10 lakh of the Tata Nexon XZ+.

The W8 variant of the XUV300 is priced at Rs 10.84 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Now, for January 2022, it receives up to Rs 30,000 as cash offer and another Rs 25,000 as an exchange. Please note that if you have an older vehicle then only you're eligible for the exchange offer.

Mahindra is also providing accessories worth Rs 10,000 and an additional Rs 4,000 corporate offer. The total figures account for Rs 69,000 and this is a huge offer given the features the W8 variant gets.

Over the Tata Nexon's XZ+ variant, this XUV300 W8 is equipped with dual-zone climate control, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, front seatback pockets, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights. It has also got 2600 mm of wheelbase that accounts for more rear space for the passengers.

Under the hood, it gets a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, BS6 compliant turbocharged petrol engine. This unit churns out 109 bhp with a peak torque of 200 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets an optional AMT unit. The ARAI certified mileage of petrol XUV300 sticks to 17 kmpl.
