Mahindra XUV400 Pro Vs. Standard Variants: What's New And What's Not!

The standout feature in the updated XUV400 is the addition of a modern 10.25-inch floating touchscreen. This enhancement has led to a significant redesign of the dashboard, with the AC vents now positioned below the new touchscreen instead of on its sides, as seen in the previous model. Additionally, the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) panel undergoes a complete overhaul, introducing two rotary dials instead of a central one.
2. New Features
Mahindra has recently enhanced the appeal of the XUV400 by introducing several features. These additions include auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, and fog lights. With the Pro variants of the XUV400, Mahindra is raising the bar by incorporating dual-zone climate control, push-button start/stop, keyless entry, rear AC vents, wireless charging, front and rear USB ports, connected car technology, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), and other safety features as standard.
The EL Pro variant goes a step further, featuring a larger and objectively superior 10.2-inch infotainment screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Running on Mahindra's latest Adrenox UI, the XUV400 EL Pro is equipped with OTA updates and a range of connectivity features, including Alexa compatibility for voice commands, ensuring a user-friendly experience.
3. Rear AC Vents With USB Ports
One of the dearly missed elements on the non-pro version were the rear AC vents and USB charging ports. With this new Pro version, the rear AC vents make their debut along with USB charging ports. This takes the rear seat passenger comfort to the next level where the gadgets can now have a continuous power supply.
4. Unchanged Mechanics: Battery And Range Remain Same
The Mahindra XUV400 Pro retains its familiar mechanical setup, with the EC Pro and EL Pro variants housing a 34.5kWh battery, while the EL Pro trim boasts a larger 39.4kWh battery. Claimed ranges stand at 375km and 456km for the two variants, respectively, as per the MIDC cycle. The EL Pro variant exclusively offers a faster 7.2kW AC charger. Both iterations are powered by a 150hp front axle-mounted electric motor, featuring disc brakes on all four wheels, regenerative braking, and three drive modes.
While the Pro variants are better equipped than the regular ones, they face tough heat directly from the newly launched Tata Nexon EV facelift.
