Mahindra XUV700 EV (XUV.e8) Dynamic Turn Indicators Spied
While the first glance surely gives away what we have here despite being heavily camouflaged, the test mule of the XUV.e9 revealed one of its standout features which are the dynamic turn indicators at both the front and rear. These indicators are designed in an inverted L shape. The front indicators also serve as connected LED daytime running lights, while the rear indicators function as tail lamps linked by a light bar. This draws similarity to what we have already seen in its concept stages as well.
The test mule showcases a split-LED headlight configuration along with two air inlets in the lower grille. It also sports an alloy wheel design similar to that of the XUV.e9 concept presented in 2023. Additionally, an ADAS radar is visible at the center of the front bumper, suggesting that the production model may include this feature.
As per some previous scoops, this SUV is expected to feature a powertrain tailored specifically for this segment, likely with a rear-wheel-drive configuration, the XUV.e9 is anticipated to offer a rear-wheel-drive electric setup, appealing to the executive demographic. Inside, the XUV700 EV coupe will introduce a new three-screen display system, which includes a dedicated screen for the front passenger, as seen in earlier spy shots. These 12.3-inch displays will have a resolution of 1920x720 and incorporate Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive (LOCA) bonding along with an oleophobic (anti-smudge) coating, as highlighted by Mahindra in August 2023.

It is anticipated to feature options for both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The XUV.e9 is expected to come with a battery pack in the range of 75-80 kWh, allowing for an approximate range of 600 kilometers on a single charge.
Verdict
As the launch inches closer with passing days, the test mules are frequently being reported from all around the country with something new emanating from carefully inspecting the shots. While Mahindra's upcoming EV arm does looks promising, coupe SUV is the new wave in the premium affordable range and you can expect more such models from other brands in near future as well.
