Maruti Alto K10, Celerio & S-Presso To Get New Dream Series

In an effort to enhance sales of its entry-level hatchbacks, Maruti Suzuki is set to unveil a new special edition on June 4th. Dubbed the Dream Series, this edition will be available for the Maruti Alto K10, Celerio, and the S-Presso, starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 4.99 lakh. With the launch of the Dream Series edition, expect to see added features like smartphone connectivity through an infotainment screen, a reverse parking camera, and an upgraded sound system across the lower variants. In a statement for this new edition, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales said, At many places, the RTO registration charges change at Rs. 5.00 lakh, so in order to take care of customers because affordability is an important point, we have strategically priced this limited edition at Rs. 4.99 lakh. With this, we aim to meet the customer expectations in the segment.

On the side note, the 2024 Maruti Swift has garnered over 40,000 bookings, taking the demand soaring for the updated hatch. In its 4th generation, the Swift is now better equipped in terms of features, more economical with a higher mileage, and comes with a new Z-Series engine. However, the higher mileage comes at the expense of lower numbers in terms of power and torque figures, but nothing substantial.

Verdict

The new limited-run edition will infuse a fresh aura to the already hit models. whiel they have been around for quite sometime now, these models are generally left just as they are are already constrained in terms of the budget and pricing. However, if you want one, make sure you get your hands on it in June itself and not leave things to fate.
