Maruti Brezza CNG Matte Blue Walkaround- New Variants On Cards!

Since its showcasing at the Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki Brezza was launched last month. While it is currently on offer with 4 variant choices, 3 more are expected to join this list. Let's discuss this info while revisiting the Matte Blue Color of the Brezza CNG that we covered while at the Auto Expo 2023.

Let's dive into the details.

Maruti Brezza CNG- Matte Blue

The Maruti Brezza in Matte Blue is clearly having blacked-out alloy wheels with fog lamps at the front (even when they are now phasing out), which suggested its higher variant possibility. The same was true when it launched last month. The LED headlamps with a matte black-silver bumper chin look quite appealing.

The rear styling is the same as the regular Brezza, but the differentiator is this Matte paint job. And also the evident, CNG sticker resting on the rear windshield. The side cladding imparts a more butched up styling that adds to the sporty feel. In addition to these variants, 3 more variants are expected to make their way onto the Brezza CNG, namely LXi (O), VXi (O), and ZXi (O).

The details for the new variants are not yet out but could offer more optional features on the existing variants. Plus, if you look at the boot space, being an SUV, it accommodates the big CNG Cylinder and leaves room for luggage as well. The same, sadly, cannot be said about the hatchback CNGs. But the Tata Altrozz CNG solved this pain point, quite ingeniously. Check out the link at the end of this article on how it did that. But first, let's get into the cabin.

The interiors are the same as normal petrol Brezza, but it gets a wooden finish on the dashboard, and the same infotainment screen, the seats, however, get a new design upholstery. CNG with Maruti cars was a necessity since they got rid of diesel completely back in 2020.

Powertrain

Maruti Brezza comes in 2 options- normal petrol and a CNG variant. The 1.5 liter 4-cylinder K15B petrol mill produces 103.26 bhp power with a peak torque of 138 Nm. The CNG variant employs a K-series 1.5L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine. This engine in the SUV generates a max power output of 86.6 bhp at 5500rpm and 121.5Nm of peak torque at 4200rpm in CNG Mode.

VERDICT- CNG variants of cars are already hot selling propositions. What they offer is a more economical run. but with a compromise on boot space. This is also now phasing out, remember the Altroz CNG we talked about before? Head out to the article in the link below. You will find it really interesting.
