Maruti Suzuki unveiled the facelifted Ignis at the 2020 Auto Expo and after few days, Maruti Suzuki has launched the Ignis BS6 Facelift. Prices start at Rs 4.83 Lakhs and go to 7.14 lakhs ex-showroom.
The showroom price has seen a price bump between Rs 4000- Rs 25000 depending on the variant. The Delta variant has seen the highest price hike thanks to the addition of body cladding, roof-mounted spoiler and roof rails. Maruti Ignis BS6 comes with a 1.2-litre BS6 compliant petrol engine which churns out 83 Hp and 113 Nm of torque. It can be bought with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Despite not receiving huge changes, Ignis now looks more Crossover-ish than before thanks to the faux skid plates and a new grille. The front now gets a new grille which is inspired by the S-presso', repositioned fog lights with faux skid plates. The side profile is exactly the same featuring roof rails, body cladding and black alloy wheels. The rear comes with a redesigned bumper and faux skid plate.

Coming to the interiors, the overall design is the same. The change is the new smart play studio system from Maruti Suzuki which supports Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Voice command, Cloud services and navigation with traffic status.

Rest of the interior design remains the same as before. Maruti Suzuki has also added to new colours to the Ignis- Lucent Orange and New Torquoise. Maruti is aiming good response from the market for the Ignis with this facelift. Ignis has never crashed the sales figures but has performed consistently. Ignis competes with cars like Ford Freestyle, Mahindra Kuv100 and upcoming Tata HBX.
